The cafe offers 12 resident bunnies who munch on grass while customers pet them between sips of tea

The coffee shop is home to twelve adorable bunnies who leisurely feast on grass while customers pamper them with love in between sips of their tea. In Hong Kong, rabbits are often forgotten animals, with many being abandoned each year. The bunnies at the cafe have all been abandoned by their previous owners and are not available for purchase. The goal of the cafe is to educate families who have the space to care for a rabbit on the responsibilities that come with it, a luxury in one of the world’s most densely populated cities. While ‘cat cafes’ are already popular in Hong Kong, this cafe is the first of its kind to focus on rabbits, taking inspiration from a similar concept in Japan. Eleven-year-old Natalie Chan can’t stop raving about the bunnies, admiring their soft fur and gentle nature as she dreams of having one as a pet. Visitors are required to follow a set of rules, including not picking up the bunnies or pulling their ears, in order to ensure the animals’ comfort and well-being.
